The Founder and CEO:
Lynn Bosman
Lynn
Bosman is the founder and director of the Mississauga School of
Aromatherapy and Canadian Holistic Therapists Training School, and
has a lifetime of natural health.
Lynn
has researched and experimented with natural health, herbs, plants
and oils from an early age when faced with her own struggle to overcome
a severe skin problem she developed as a preteen. Lynn experimented
with clays, plants, herbs and much more. She also became very conscious
of her diet and began pursuing macrobiotics and yoga in 1974.
At
18 years old, Lynn discovered Azulene extract from Germany. Azulene
is a chemical component which is often very high in German Chamomile,
and at this time she obtained the extract in a cream from a well
known German distributor. This seemed to have had excellent results,
and together with macrobiotics, Lynn used this religiously for the
next 9 years.
Later
Lynn incorporated the use of an oil base published by a well known
herbalist and healer in her daily skin regime, which contained Natural
Vitamin E, Olive Oil, Evening Primrose and much more. All of these
ingredients working together with her diet achieved the results
she had been pursuing for so long. Through all of this her interest
in the field grew more and more, and she developed the desire to
help others with similar afflictions. She also learned first hand
from her mother. A natural healer, her mother used oils and herbal
remedies in variety of different ways. Poultices, packs, massage
and especially baby massage was of great interest to Lynn.
This
all led Lynn to studies and research to obtain only the best information
that could be backed by research for accuracy. She attended many
International conferences, and in 1994 met Martin Watt and Sylla
Sheppard-Hanger in New York. Since then, Lynn has worked together
with Martin and Sylla, publishing their books for Canadian Aromatherapists,
and using their work as part of her course materials.
